Hellnäs Boathouse is a new seaside restaurant currently rising in the heart of the renewed Hellnäs Marina. The construction is well underway, and our goal is to open our doors in early summer 2026.

Once completed, Hellnäs Boathouse will offer an atmospheric setting for fine dining and great company. You can enjoy a fresh lunch during the day, while in the evening, our kitchen crafts a seasonal à la carte menu using the finest ingredients. Our culinary world is built on Scandinavian clarity, beloved classics, and fresh new ideas.

The restaurant will be a lively meeting place featuring live music, theme nights, and other experiences. Our modern and bright facilities will also be available for private bookings, such as family celebrations and corporate events.

The entrepreneurs behind the experiences

Behind Hellnäs Boathouse are entrepreneurs Mathias Niemi and Valtteri Taipalus. Both have solid and many years of experience in the restaurant and event industry. The duo currently operates a popular and successful à la carte restaurant in Vaasa, and this expertise is now being brought as part of Hellnäs’ developing tourism area.

The entrepreneurs’ division of work is clear and utilizes both of their strengths:

  • Mathias Niemi is responsible for the restaurant’s operational activities and quality assurance together with the restaurant manager.
  • Valtteri Taipalus focuses on the restaurant’s continuous ideation, concept development, and creating experiential events.

For them, Hellnäs Boathouse is a dream project where professionalism and the vision of the perfect beach restaurant come together.

HARBOR AND RESTAURANT – WITHIN EASY REACH

Hellnäs Boathouse is located in a magnificent spot in Vöyri Hellnäs, right by the sea. The location is unique due to its excellent accessibility: thanks to the deep harbor and numerous boat berths, it’s easy to arrive at the restaurant by boat. The journey by road is equally convenient: the distance to Route 8 (Highway 8) is only 3 kilometers. The short distance from the main road makes the restaurant a perfect stop for through traffic, local residents, and tourists alike. It’s easy to drop by Hellnäs Boathouse for lunch along the way or come and enjoy dinner at sunset without major detours. The seaside atmosphere and the nearby sandy beach are accessible just a stone’s throw from the highway.

Hellnäs Boathouse – recruitment now open! We are looking for full-time and part-time employees for various positions at our restaurant. Restaurant manager, head chef, shift supervisors, waiters, bartenders, and ice cream sellers. We will start with recruiting a restaurant manager and head chef.
